The Toronto Standard’s Interview with Judy Inc.’s Linsey Bell
Toronto’s better bartenders
On November 11th, the Toronto Standard posted an article about our food stylist, Linsey Bell. The article was written by Kerry and Ivy Knight, photography by Phillipa Croft. (You can find the article here: http://www.torontostandard.com/daily-cable/xx-files-amber-and-harbour-60s-linsey-bell-cant-tell-you-where-shes-going-later).
Food and drink are a passion for Linsey and encompass all that she does. It is because of this passion that she is being recognized as part of Toronto’s better bartenders.
Linsey is currently a bartender for Amber and Harbour 60. She has been bartending for 12 years and over the years she has mastered the art of bartending with the seasons. In other words, Linsey is able to incorporate seasonal items into her drinks, such as apple cider, or pears, etc. Her ability to style and her eye for artistic interpretation bleeds beautifully into her bartending and what she produces is a memorable cocktail that will leave you wanting another (but don’t be obnoxious, or rude, or else you won’t be getting another!)
In the interview Linsey adds that when she’s not bartending, she’s food styling or creating custom wedding cakes.
If you want to see one of our artists in action, be sure to head to Amber or Harbour 60 where you’ll be sure to find a bartending artist with a flair for creativity.

Ashley’s work in Glow magazine focused on meat alternatives for those certain dishes that you just can’t stop your mouth from watering over.
The classic burger is one of those dishes that can always look so good. Ashley wanted to take the juicy aspects of meat and present it in a vegetarian alternative so that you wouldn’t even know the difference. The goal was to make sure these meat classics (sans meat) didn’t look like a typical vegetarian dish. Rather, Ashley opted for a more “meaty” look that would do these classic food dishes justice.
What makes the food stylist:
Ashley’s favourite part of food styling is the ability to be able to work with food without having to work in a restaurant or a kitchen. He loves the fact that there’s so much team work that goes into making a beautiful picture. (There’s more to food than what meets the eye!)
What makes a good food stylist, like Ashley, is getting up close to the details and individual ingredients of a recipe, so that a simple photograph can make your mouth water.
