What do our artists do in their spare time? Well, provided they have any, some express their artistic abilities through other outlets. Not satisfied to use only the body as a canvas, Judy INC’s Dana Mooney utilizes both her airbrushing and painting skills to create pieces like the one pictured. On the Rise Artist Collective is doing a show featuring 15 local artists, one piece each, all for under $200. The new venture, ART MART, is focused on providing quality and affordability. Speaking with the organizer, the idea would be to buy your art and eat too. The prices ensure that you won’t have to live like a starving artist and with all of the proceeds going directly to the artist, they won’t either! Check out the exhibit until May 30th, Wednesday-Sunday from 10-6.
